Anise (Template)
Orphaned at a young age and taken in by horrible guardians thereafter, her morality is initially shaped by the situation through which she escapes them. When she was good she was very very good and when she was bad she was a sinnamon roll.

Mewtwo
When evil scientists clone Mew to get Mewtwo, a resulting Anise behaves very differently than canon Mewtwo did. Shy and terrified of humans, she hides in the wilderness until something happens to upset the status quo.
Lt. Anastasia Shoreman
This Anise is from the Terran Empire, the dystopic mirror universe counterpart to the Federation of Planets. Her childhood was different from standard in that her foster parents' horrible treatment of her was less hidden and more socially acceptable. They died in an "accidental" gas fire when she was a teenager; she was horribly scarred in the same fire (worth it) and later had plastic surgery, electing to get a completely new face instead of restoring the old one.
Sarusawa Anzu
Anise instance from Wave. Ninja culture is unhealthy even when you don't have an Anise's personality and attractors. Yes, she's white and has a Japanese name, there's worldbuilding reasons for that.
Anasekrah Sorren
Anise instance from a world that people get periodically isekai'd to, partly inspired by that one Iarwain thread. Eminently rescuable for new would-be heroes.
Anna-Charlotte Sharma
Anise instance in Fabulous. Rescued from her terrible guardians at a remarkably young age in a way attributable to the Thaumatologist church, this Anise is slated to grow up to be very high end of the bell curve altruistic for an Anise.
Anna-Salome Scherer
Demon from Apostasy. Ex-human. Died in the siege of Magdeburg in 1631.
Annisetimara
Anise instance from Kappa's Curse setting.
