Edie Magda Lehnsherr (I-am-being)

Instance of Edie from the setting Thing. Edie is infected with Thing cells but successfully manages to win control of her body and identity from the alien, then deliberately infects her sister on the grounds that she would never try to overwrite Emily's identity in something of an inoculation. 

Appearances: 
Forsaken Expanse - Eldritch Yvette lands on not entirely un-eldritch Edie and Emily while the latter are still in Antarctica recovering from their change of species and the deaths of the rest of the human population of the base.

One is the fact that all the mind-altering magic she practices had some imprint on her personality; in Odette, the effects of Sympathy have thus far manifested mostly in an inclination to steelman and give people the benefit of the doubt in comparison to a baseline Edie.
