History
Background
Elizabeth is being raised by her aunt Christine Kirsch, who works from home as a computer security consultant.1 When she is ten she and her aunt move to Forks, Washington.2 A few months after her arrival she goes over to Charlie Swan's house to meet Bella Swan, who is visiting for the summer, and they become friends3
Narnia
During a discussion of fairy tales Bella mentions a boy who, many years ago, went missing from the abandoned house in town; this peaks Elizabeth's interest and she decides to investigate the house.4 Searching the wardrobe for the boy's body, she instead encounters Narnia, and meets the faun Mr. Tummus.5 He is fascinated to meet a human girl and invites her over for tea, but breaks down in tears and admits he had been planning to hand her over to the White Witch.6 He returns her safely to the wardrobe, where she realizes she has only been gone for a few minutes, and the time she spent at tea has vanished.7 She remains stuck on the problem of the world she remembers encountering, but logically does not exist, for some time afterwards.8
