History

Background

Emma's parents are Watchers who are stationed in Connecticut. She was born and raised there, and trained by her parents as a Watcher. As she got older, she elected to become a nurse as well. Once at Yale for nursing school, she met Phil Anderson, whom she eventually married. After the wedding, Emma decided to focus solely on nursing and give up Watching, and she and Phil moved to Sunnydale.Sunnydale.

Sunnydale

While working in the Sunnydale emergency room Emma meets Bella Swan, and realizes that Bella is the missing Slayer. She gives Bella her contact information in case of emergencies and puts her in touch with the Watcher's council. She has assisted Bella only a couple of times, most notably providing the recipe for an antidote to Soph Swan and Alli Kowalski when Bella was poisoned.

Abilities

Emma is a licensed RN working in the Sunnydale emergency room. In addition, as someone trained to be a Watcher, Emma is familiar with a great deal of supernatural lore. She is fluent in Latin and knows several demon languages, and has a modest collection of demonology books of her own.
