Winter is the Joker from the Narnia universe.

Arrival in Narnia

Winter has an abusive father whom he hates and no brothers or sisters.^[1]1[2]2 When he is fourteen, he is hiding in his mother's wardrobe when he finds himself in Narnia.^[3]3[4]4 Jadis  meets him in the woods near the Lantern and offers him a warm drink and jellybeans.^[5]5[6]6 Liking his violent tendencies, she brings him home to work for her as an assassin.^7[7]

Time in Narnia

Winter is kept for years as Jadis' favored minion and assassin. When he is sixteen, Jadis sends him to gain immortality by eating an apple from the Tree of Youth. Being hungry, Winter instead eats three; this grants him immortality, immunity to cold or hunger or exhaustion, and changes his skin and hair to resemble frost. Jadis' interest in him eventually fades, and he is managed by her minions with jellybean bribery.^8[8] He is found to be willing to do all sorts of things for jellybeans, which he mostly enjoys and which amuses Jadis.^9[9]
