Adanir is the Adarin from the Quartet universe.
History
Adanir is a royal bastard on his father's side who was raised by the local Veron after his mother died horribly. Once he was old enough, his father the king decided he was a suitable heir and made him crown prince.1 He now lives in the palace learning how to be a monarch from the king, whom he hates but tolerates for the sake of the chance to rule.2 One day at a palace ball Mirabella Swan asks him for help with her father, who has been brainwashed by his new wife's fairy.34 Adanir agrees to help her and offers her a place to stay at the palace so she does not have to return home.5 He arranges for her to stay in the same part of the palace as his friend Nadi, another stray he has adopted.6 Had Incandescence continued, he and Mira would have fallen into a Cinderella-style romance and rescued Mira's father from Kelsey.7
Relationship to Template
Adanir is an unusual instance of the Adarin template, as indicated by the -dan in his name instead of the -dar. He has no twin or Zevi of any kind, and is royal on his father's side rather than his mother's. Although he has a Veron, he has been removed from his Veron's care and is now being raised by his birth father.
