Cymbeline is the Bell from the Thalassa universe.

Abilities

Cymbeline has a "charmed mind", improving his memory, speeding up his thinking and providing some mental defenses against hostile magic.1 He has been learning additional magic from Kerem, the court magician.2 He has demonstrated the ability to speak at least Loegrian and Iberiola.3

History

As the prince of Loegria Cymbeline often assists his father King Charles with affairs of state, since neither his mother Queen Ranae or his sister Princess Zoyah are interested.4 He is on his way to Vectis to oversee a change of governorship when he is knocked overboard by a storm.5. He is rescued and brought to shore by the mermaid Ariel.6 When she is later brought to the palace by Zoyah, he identifies the mermaid as his rescuer and, since she cannot speak, gives her the name Jade.7 At Jade's request he attaches her legs permanently, despite his confusion at their cursed nature.8 He has been teaching Jade sign language from a library book as a workaround for her muteness.9
