Mathilde is the Matilda from the Circle universe.

History

Mathilde is a mage who specializes in locating ambient mages.1 She went to Lightsbridge Academy at age eight and is now fully accredited.2 3 She has mentioned being close to Winding Circle's Earth Dedicate Honey; given her template attractors, it is likely Dedicate Honey is her mother figure.4 She is the one who locates Stormy and brings her to Winding Circle for training.5 As Winding Circle has no other weather mages, Mathilde has become Stormy's teacher.6
