History

Background

Idania is from the Tarvincial province in the world of Pantheon.^[1] Idania became an acolyte of Raezenoth mostly by accident; she wandered past when he was being attacked by someone attempting to ascend to godhood, and was granted acolytehood with which to rescue him.^[2] After rescuing him, she remained in his priesthood.^[3]

Meeting Aya

Entering Raezenoth's main temple one day, Idania instead finds Milliways and meets Ayabel.^[4] Believing that the door out of Milliways only opens to her home and horrified to learn that Aya is a slave, Idania obtains Raezenoth's permission to bring Aya back with her if Aya wishes.^[5][6] Aya talks to the Bar and decides staying in Milliways isn't an option, so Idania loans her some money and the Bar helps her use arbitrage to obtain a variety of useful purchases suitable for Pantheon.^[7][8] With no other visitors to the Bar in the offing, Aya and Idania leave for Pantheon.^[9] Idania shows Aya around Raezenoth's domain and invites her to stay with her for a week, after when Aya leaves for Perinixu's domain.^[10]

Acolyte of Raezenoth

Relationship with Raezenoth

Idania and Raezenoth (or "Rae" as she calls him) have an unusual god/acolyte relationship; they are very close, but very informal.^[11][12][13] When she talks to him, he will almost always respond to her, and as a rule he never lies to her.^[14][15] She is not deferential to him, which he appreciates; when he visits, she is known to throw pillows at him.^[16][17] They often play games of Arabek together, though Raezenoth always wins.^[18]

Blessings

""Reflexes, protection from the desert's casual troubles - hot sand, sunburns, that sort of thing. The ability to go without water for days. Increased endurance, improved flexibility. And the winds will always go where you need them to, never off-balance you, always be at your back when you need them." -Raezenoth^[19]

Idania's most obvious blessing is her ability to fly.^[20] In addition, being under Raezenoth's blessings come with a variety of physical enhancements and immunity to negative effects of his domains of wind and desert- for example, her hair is never mussed by the wind and she is protected from sunburns.^[21][22]

Responsibilities

Idania spends a lot of time traveling and doing errands for Raezenoth.^[23] She also helps spread the word of Raezenoth by helping to "fix things", typically by giving people the chance to help themselves.^[24]
