Personality

Nereus is charismatic, manipulative, and power-hungry. He is mostly unbothered by morals, though he does have his limits.^[1]

History

Background

Nereus is a first bloodline mage born on Kystle. Upset that the second bloodline controlled Aliya Sorelas, the only known halfblood, Nereus arranged for Veron Barkett to kidnap her when she reached childbearing age. When Aliya proved unexpectedly delighted by the situation, Nereus took it upon himself to charm her, and she became pregnant not long after. At that point, a rescue effort from the second bloodline arrived, and Nereus was killed in the ensuing fight. Their twins, Adarin and Zeviana Sorelas, were born after his death.^[1]

Invasion

When the Pythial invaded Kystle, Aliya's ghost realized she could drain power from their deaths. With the help of Lynnari Corvalias, she eventually obtained enough power to resurrect Nereus. Though pleased to be restored, Nereus was appalled at the terrifying undead monstrosity she'd become, and fled from Aliya in horror. His subsequent activities and whereabouts are unknown.^[1]
