Bella is the Bell from the Gemini universe.
History
Background
Bella was born to Charlie and Renée Swan just slightly before her twin sister Alli. Following their parents' divorce, Bella and Alli moved to Phoenix, Arizona with their mother. They started attending the twins-only high school Apollo High at fifteen, where they befriend the Sanders twins Savannah and Adana.[1] On her sixteenth birthday, Bella is thrilled to get a teleportation bonus, and spends the next few weeks experimenting with her powers.[2] After being evaulated, she joins the Gemini Guard as a solo bonus, junior grade, stratum 3.[3] With her newly obtained twin basics allowing her to dance, she attends homecoming as Savannah's date; though they have fun at homecoming, they decide not to continue to date.[4][5]
Volcano
When it's revealed that the Yellowstone supervolcano is about to go off, Bella's family and the Sanders family evacuates to her father's house in Forks, Washington.[6] With her sister's help, Bella teleports riot control policemen to the affected areas to oversee evacuation, and drops off Savannah and Adana in cities that need portals.[7] After the major cities are evacuated she and Alli help evacuate smaller areas, until the volcano erupts and Bella is forced to stop because the ground is moving too much for her to teleport.[8]
Aftermath
After the volcano has erupted, Bella is given a medal and does some television interviews about her contribution.[9] After seeing Adana's interview, Bella asks her out.[10] Though Adana is initially hesitant to date someone who Savannah had dated, Savannah reassures Adana, and Bella and Adana become a couple.[11] Their relationship becomes well known when Adana does an interview and, annoyed by the interviewer's intentional denseness, emphasizes that they are dating, not friends.[12]
Plague
Twin Bonus
As twins from Gemini, Bella and Alli get their powers (or "bonus") as soon as they turn sixteen. On her birthday Bella finds, with helpful prompting from Alli, that she is able to teleport. She can bring one other person with her; as her twin, Alli is an exception to this, and neither Alli nor her double counts towards the passenger limit.[13] Bella does not need line of sight to teleport, but she needs some knowledge and degree of precision about the location; latitude and longitude work, as does intersection and corner, but addresses are not specific enough.[14] She has a sense of places being "in reach" to help her determine if she can teleport there.[15] When she teleports, she doesn't preserve momentum and cannot hit moving targets.[16] Her nickname in the Gemini Guard is "Flicker".[17]
